It appears that Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner are planning to stay in Washington, DC for a while. Axios notes that their friends have told the outlet "they have the strong impression they are now preparing to stay in D.C. as long as the president does."
The couple has been spending a lot of time both with the president and working on their respective tasks and interests.  For Kushner, those include NAFTA negotiations and peace between Israel and Palestine.  The first daughter has been focused on issues like paid family leave and making sure the American workforce has the skills to survive in a world where manufacturing jobs are increasingly being done by automated machines.  Perhaps the most telltale sign that couple is leaving their New York life behind is Ivanka Trump's recent decision to shutter her namesake fashion line, reports the Washington Post.  "After 17 months in Washington, I do not know when or if I will ever return to the business," she said in a statement, "but I do know that my focus for the foreseeable future will be the work I am doing here in Washington, so making this decision now is the only fair outcome for my team and partners."
