South Korea GDP grows 0.7% in Q2

South Korea's GDP grew in the second quarter by zero-point-seven percent from the quarter before.
That was slower than the one-percent rise seen in the first quarter... due to weaker investment.
The Bank of Korea says the country's second-quarter GDP rose to just over 398 trillion Korean won, or about 356 billion U.S. dollars.
Compared to the same period last year, the economy expanded by two-point-nine percent.
Investment in business facilities contracted by six-point-six percent after growing over three percent the quarter before, while construction investment declined one-point-three percent.
Growth in exports, a major driver of Korea's economy, also slowed down to zero-point-eight percent after posting over four percent in the first quarter.
