Nike Raising Wages for Thousands
of Employees On Monday, July 23, Nike announced that following a global pay review, about 7,500 employees, or 10% of its global workforce, would receive a raise. To put the pay scale into perspective,
Mid-level managers at Portland headquarters
receive anywhere between $40,000 to $120,000
a year, according to Glassdoor. According to 'The Wall Street Journal,' the pay adjustments are scheduled to commence in August and will be annualized over the balance of the fiscal year. Two months ago, Nike conducted an
investigation into workplace
behavior, which resulted in many
top executives exiting the company. The company's workplace behavior has been under scrutiny for quite some time, with numerous complaints mounting. Some employees felt excluded
and that management didn't
take complaints seriously. Nike brand President, Trevor Edwards,
is one such high-profile executive
who has left the company.
