in Putin Meeting On Monday, President Trump decided
to set the story straight regarding his
recent meeting with President Vladimir Putin. This past week, Trump has been met with a barrage of criticism regarding
the summit with Putin and
their respective translators. While the White House has revealed very little about the meeting between the two presidents,
Putin claims that several agreements were struck. Many Capital Hill Democrats
are calling for a subpoena of
Trump's translator, who was
the only other American present. Much of the controversy stems from the leaders' news conference, where Trump seemed to accept Putin's denial of 2016 presidential election cyberattacks.
He later attempted to walk back this admission. President Trump continues to insist that the
meeting was a success and will only benefit the U.S.
