Man heroically steps into raging waters to save little girl

The heart-stopping moment a man steps into a flooded street to pull out a three-year-old girl caught in the torrent.
The girl had been carried away by the flood after breaking free from her father’s grip.
The incident occurred in Jodhpur, India, on July 19.
Local media reports said the man had gone to draw money from an ATM with his daughter. By the time he was finished, it started raining heavily, forcing him to wait under a shelter.
It continued to pour and after just one hour drains overflowed, turning roads into gushing streams.
The man, had been carrying his daughter on his shoulder, but she slipped, fell into the water and was swept away by the current. The man, was also swept away as he went after her in desperation.
A bystander, who had also taken refuge from the rain at a shop, saw their plight and stepped in to pull out the girl.
The father also managed to find his feet and joined his daughter.
Local police officials said the man had put his daughter’s life to risk by taking her out in inclement weather.
But they said they had no further information and had not filed any complaint over the incident.
