S. Korean gov't unveils blueprint to support five new industries
  • 6 years ago
South Korea's trade ministry has unveiled its blueprint for supporting the so-called "five new industries."
Included on the list are electric cars, Internet of Things... and next generation semiconductors.
One of the goals is developing a super-rapid charger for EVs that gets the job done three times faster than existing ones.
Plus developing a technology to simultaneous charge two or more hydrogen vehicles.
For home automation, the ministry will encourage the development of artificial intelligence for the home... to control almost everything from the gas to the lights.
They also plan to focus on power-efficient semiconductors as well as transparent display panels.
