'Batwoman' TV Series is Being Developed at The CW The CW is looking to expand its DC Comics world. Greg Berlanti and Caroline Dries are developing the drama. The character will make her debut in the network's DC crossover event in December. Batwoman revolves around Kate Kane, who soars onto the streets of Gotham
as the titular character. The character is an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city's criminal resurgence. But Kate must overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham's symbol of hope. The role has yet to be cast. The DC crossover marks the first time the character of Batwoman will appear in live-action form.
