NIKE ON AIR LONDON | INTERVIEWS, DESIGN PROCESS & WORKSHOP

Nike are currently hosting their ON AIR event at cities across the globe. Hitting Paris, London, New York, Seoul, Shanghai and Tokyo, this event is a must for sneakerheads.
We were lucky enough to head down to the London event to check out one of the design workshops and interview one of the mentors for the day, Alexandra Hacket aka MiniSwoosh.
The workshop consists of the concept development, silhouette selection, picking your materials and colour palette and then finally embellishing your design.
Once the designs are completed, a judging panel consisting of Nike designers and city ambassadors including Skepta and Miniswoosh, will select the top three designs.
The winning designs from each city will then be subject to a global vote, where the winner from each city will have their design put into production at a later date.
