North London tube station re-named in honour of Gareth Southgate

Southgate station in north London has been renamed in honour of the England football team's manager after the team finished fourth in the World Cup. The signage at the Piccadilly line station now reads "Gareth Southgate", and will remain as such for 48 hours starting from Monday (July 16). The temporary change appears to be popular with locals. The Three Lions' result was their best since 1990. "We're delighted to be able to show our appreciation to Gareth and the team by renaming the station in his honour," Transport for London (TfL) said.
