Cars drive through knee-deep waters as rainstorm hits Manila

Residents in Manila woke up to heavy rains and severe flooding on July 17, marking the start of the monsoon season. The video, filmed by Patrick Josh Valisno and shared to Facebook, shows cars ploughing through several inches of water. This was taken along Andres Bonifacio Avenue in Quezon City at around 10:30 am. Non-stop rains also affected transportation with services on some train lines suspended due to flooded stations, and a number of flights were also canceled. Authorities said evacuations will be ordered if water levels continue to rise.
