Jevon Nickerson captured video of a bear that broke into his family’s car while on vacation in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, on July 13.Nickerson, who is originally from South Carolina, told Storyful he and his father were sitting on the balcony of their cabin in Gatlinburg when they heard the door of their truck open. He initially thought it was his younger brother but soon realized it was a bear.When the bear moved to open Nickerson’s stepmother’s car, Nickerson’s started recording. “We started yelling and trying to scare it off, when that didn’t work my mom threw a can at the car and it walked away.”After the bear had gone, Nickerson and his family discovered the animal had stolen candy out of the truck.
