The latest in the disaster preparedness drill that turned fatal after a second year student of KK College of arts & science in Coimbatore died after jumping off the second floor. The trainer has now been arrested & govt has ordered an inquiry. Though students standing on the ground were holding a net for her to land safely, the victim hit the sunshade of the first floor and died on the spot. Around 20 students were given training to jump through an emergency window. Police are probing the case and have questioned the trainer, R Arumugam, and the college principal, L mala.
