A massive controversy has erupted over Maharashtra higher education department allowing a trust to distribute copies of Bhagvad Gita to the students of 100 colleges in Mumbai. The move has snowballed into a political controversy. The Education Minister of Maharashtra Vinod Tavde has however rubbished the reports that this step was not being taken by the state government.
