Elon Musk's tiny submarine may not make it to the rescue site in time. According to the Thai NavySEAL, eight of the 12 trapped Thai kids have thankfully been rescued.
"Mini-sub arriving in about 17 hours," Musk wrote. "Hopefully useful. If not, perhaps it will be in a future situation."
Musk says with some modifications the sub "could also work as an escape pod in space."
