After the Donington Park event, the Superbike World Championship returns to Italy for the boom race of the season: from June 16th to June 18th the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli hosts the 7th World Cup.

Located a couple kilometers from the Adriatic Sea, in the street called Daijiro Kato, the route celebrates this year's 45th anniversary of activity. Over the years the track has undergone several modifications until reaching the current 4.226-meter configuration in 2008.

Despite the presence of 16 curves, the brakes are only 8 because different direction changes are dealt with without resorting to brakes. The Italian runway is one of the few in the world without decelerations of 1.4 g and 1.5 g. The risk of overheating is therefore minimal.
