Aussie singer Shannon Noll was both criticised and applauded for a foul-mouthed tirade at a gig in rural New South Wales on Saturday, June 7, after a concertgoer threw a beer can on stage during his set.Noll’s abusive rant was met with cheers and laughter from the crowd at the Duck Creek Picnic Races in Nyngan. The singer made a series of crude remarks in an interlude between songs, including offering someone $100 to punch the “culprit” and saying “I’ll f**k your missus and your mum”. He then immediately launched into a cover of Daryl Braithwaite’s “The Horses.”The rant was caught on camera by multiple people and drew criticism for his misogynistic language.Commenters on the video, posted on Facebook, were largely in favour of Noll’s actions, which news sources said was a disturbing response, given his threats of violence and rape. Noll has since apologised for his actions.Noll was arrested in 2017 for assaulting a bouncer outside an Adelaide strip club. Credit: Madeline Klintworth via Storyful
