No consensus on One nation, one poll amongst political parties. At the law commission's meet with political parties in national capital - The Trinamool Cong has told the law commission that it's against the idea of simultaneous polls. Sources also tell NewsX that almost all regional parties who participated in the meet today were opposed to the idea. Meanwhile the finance minister of Andhra Pradesh has said that the idea of simultaneous polls have been mooted by the ruling party simple because they are scared of the growth of regional parties as no party is currently in a position to form the govt. The law commission has invited all 7 national political parties and 59 state parties to hold consultations on the same.
