It's a NewsX-Sunday Guardian exclusive. We have learnt that at least 120 sitting BJP members of Parliament including more than 18 central ministers will not be given tickets to contest the 2019 general elections. According to highly placed sources these MPs include senior leaders who have crossed age of 75 years as well as Non performing MPs. Going by the estimate, BJP has 273 MPs of whom around 45% will be dropped while MPs have often demand perks and have poor track record at parliament sessions isn't it time for greater accountability with Prime Minister Narendra Modi stressing on it? The BJP has given it's underperforming MPs 6 months time to improve their prospects among those who are likely to face the axe are Shatrughan Sinha who is MP from Patna Sahib and Kirti Azad, MP from Darbhanga, both in Bihar.
