2 mothers have appealed to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj for the return of their sons who were trafficked to Malaysia. Rashadha Begum said her son Mohd Bilal was approached by one Mohammed Yousuf who took Rs One lakh from the family and promised her son a good job and salary in Malaysia. Her son Mohd Bilal departed for Malaysia in October 2017. Habeeb Begum, the mother of another victim Mohd Ghouse had a similar story to narrate— both the women accuse the agent Mohd Yousuf. They say that their sons are struggling to return to the country and are not even receiving adequate food.
