This is the shocking moment three cooking gas cylinders explode like a bomb at a home in an Indian village.

A wedding party of over 50 people was evacuated minutes before the massive explosion.

The incident took place in a village near Jamui, Bihar, India on June 20.

Shambhu Paswan, a resident of Gola Chakai village, was getting his daughter married and had called cooks to his home to prepare a wedding feast for his relatives.

The cooks had brought in three cylinders to prepare the meals and one of them started leaking. Unable to stop the leak they raised an alarm.

A few young men on the spot realised the gravity of the situation and quickly evacuated the home that was teeming with relatives.

They also alerted neighbours all of who fled to safety.

As they all watched from a distance the kitchen continued to smoulder and exploded in flames that rose several meters above the roof of the home.

The fire brigade and the police reached the spot and controlled the fire with the help of the villagers.

Officials recovered a cylinder that was flung 40 feet away from the home through the ceiling.

Paswan said: “The house was completely burnt from inside and the ceiling caved in. All the money and material I had brought in for the wedding were lost.”

“But I feel lucky that there were no casualties,” he added.
