The Texas Rangers' slugger extended his on-base streak to 44 games, the most ever by an Asian player in the MLB.
For more on how the "Choo Choo Train" reached another career milestone,... Seo Bobin reports.

The Choo Choo train now owns the longest on-base streak by an Asian player in the history of Major League Baseball.
The Texas Rangers' designated hitter kept the streak going Wednesday with a towering solo home run off the Houston Astros in the third inning at the Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas.
Choo finished the game 2-for-4 with a sacrifice.
This was also his 16th home run of the season as he heads into his first All-Star Game later this month.

The previous holder of the on-base record for an Asian player was Ichiro Suzuki of Japan, who racked up 43 games when he was with the Seattle Mariners in 2009.

Choo is now tied with Otis Nixon for the second-longest on-base streak in Texas Rangers history, and he's now two away from the team's all-time record held by Julio Franco.

The MLB as a whole, the longest on-base streak is 84 games set by Ted Williams.
