Colorado’s Lake Christine Fire had nearly doubled in size on July 5, after growing from 2,700 acres the evening prior to nearly 4,900 acres with no containment.Three homes were destroyed overnight and more than 500 homes were evacuated by July 5, according to KKTV 11 News.This video shows the growing fire as seen from Basalt, Colorado.The Eagle County Sheriff’s office said that “erratic outflow winds, extremely dry fuels, and single digit relative humidity” were posing challenges for firefighters.The fire started after people shot tracer rounds during a Stage 2 fire ban, according to NBC 9 News.
