Luke Watkins insists the first defence of his Commonwealth title is just the start of his battle for belts in the cruiserweight division.

‘The Duke’ will next defend his crown against the never-stopped former British title challenger Mike Stafford.

The two will take chief support billing on a televised card at the Leicester Arena on Saturday December 2, live on Channel Five.

They will box under the Cyclone Promotions banner, headed by former world champion and International Hall of Famer Barry McGuigan.

They met ahead of their clash for a press conference at Leicester City Football Club, as the home of the Foxes set the stage for fight night.

Watkins, from Swindon, has already claimed Irish and Commonwealth straps and will be going British and European honours next. He spoke to Seconds Out reporter Craig Birch.
