Former world middleweight ruler Sergio Martinez predicts Gennady Golovkin ggg will beat Canelo Alvarez and go on to unify all of the belts in the division.

WBA, WBC and IBF champion Golovkin is set to take on fellow middleweight superstar Canelo in a huge super-fight on September 17.

Former unified boss Martinez, now 42 and retired, believes Golovkin will prevail and then go on to claim the WBO belt from either Billy Joe Saunders or his challenger Avtandil Khurtsidze.

The Argentine was in Birmingham today with his protege Ceferino Rodriguez at the Barclaycard Arena, where Rodriguez fights on Saturday night.

Rodriguez will defend his European welterweight crown against Sam Eggington on the Matchroom Boxing bill, live on Sky Sports.
