Eddie Hearn on Birmingham, Wembley, Fury, Joshua-Klitschko and Haye-Bellew rematches

Eddie Hearn landed in Birmingham revealing he’s spoken to David Haye about the possibility of a rematch with Tony Bellew.

The head of Matchroom Boxing admitted Haye and Bellew could meet again after their highly-charged first contest on March 4.

Bellew scored a huge upset at the 02 Arena in London by stopping Haye, who was hobbling through a ruptured Achilles, in the 11th round.

Haye posted a video of himself on social media walking the Great Wall of China this week and has vowed to return to boxing.

It’s a mouth-watering possibility of a return bout and the same can be said between Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko.

Joshua stopped Klitschko, also in the 11th, after a fight for the ages in front of 90,000 people at Wembley Stadium and there is a rematch clause.

Tyson Fury, who beat Klitschko on points and relinquished titles rather than lose them in the ring, want to get to Joshua first.

It’s one of many things in the pipeline for Hearn with Kell Brook, James DeGale and even Jamie Cox’s immediate futures to guide.

The here and now is Saturday’s next bill in Birmingham at the Barclaycard Arena, where he spoke to Seconds Out reporter Craig Birch.
