Tommy Langford: Khurtsidze can take his best shot on Saturday night!

Tommy Langford had some choice words for his non-English speaking opponent Avtandil Khurtsidze ahead of their clash at the Leicester Arena on Saturday night.

The two will clash for the WBO interim world middleweight title, live on BT Sport and BoxNation, with the winner the mandatory challenger to full champion Billy-Joe Saunders.

Devon-born Brummie Langford, 27, refuted Khurtsidze’s ‘mini Mike Tyson’ claims with his opponent’s coaches and vowed to do a boxing job on him come fight night.

His 37-year-old rival is a Georgian based in the United States, which his coaches trading vocal barbs on his behalf with Langford and promoter Frank Warren.

Langford was talking to Seconds Out video reporter Craig Birch at today’s final press conference, with further coverage to come at the weigh-in tomorrow.
