It is unconstitutional and illegal for taskforce to advise AG, says Shafee

Senior lawyer Muhammad Shafee Abdullah who is representing former premier Najib Abdul Razak in his corruption trial has rapped the 1MDB task force for issuing a statement yesterday that he would be charged today.

Shafee said he agreed with the statement by the Malaysian Bar president George Varughese yesterday questioning the legality of the task force in coming out with the statement regarding Najib's arrest and charging.
