We had the pleasure of ordering the Ancestry DNA kit! With a sample of Saliva the lab will be able to tell us every gene that makes us who we are! Every culture has its own group of genes and carry unique genetic markers. So for example if Ava's Grandmother is from Sicily (my side), but she has a Chinese Grandmother (Dad's side).. those two different cultures each have their own thumb print if you will. Everything she is.. going back hundreds of years will show in her DNA test. Through this journey I will help Ava better learn more about her heritage.. and I will be taking her on a cultural expedition to learn more about where she comes from.. and what has led up to her being the person she is today!
