Court Order Gives Displaced Puerto Ricans 3 More Weeks Before Being Evicted

On Tuesday, a federal judge extended an order preventing the eviction of hundreds of Puerto Rican families who fled the hurricane ravaged island following Hurricane Maria, and have been living in hotels and motels across the United States. Reuters reports that US District Judge Timothy Hillman signed the order which bars the federal government from cutting off housing assistance for three weeks.
