President Trump on Tuesday again targeted Maxine Waters on Twitter.
President Trump on Tuesday again went after one of his favorite Twitter targets - Democratic Representative Maxine Waters.
"Crazy Maxine Waters, said by some to be one of the most corrupt people in politics, is rapidly becoming, together with Nancy Pelosi, the FACE of the Democrat Party. Her ranting and raving, even referring to herself as a wounded animal, will make people flee the Democrats!" Trump wrote.
Days prior, he had tweeted: "Congresswoman Maxine Waters, an extraordinarily low IQ person, has become, together with Nancy Pelosi, the Face of the Democrat Party. She has just called for harm to supporters, of which there are many, of the Make America Great Again movement. Be careful what you wish for Max!"
His tweets come after Waters encouraged people to "push back" against the Trump administration. Waters' made the suggestion last month, stating, "if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they're not welcome anymore, anywhere." While she didn't urge the use of violence, President Trump asserted that she did and criticized her for it. In the wake of the controversy, Waters said during an appearance on MSNBC's "All In with Chris Hayes" that she believes in "peaceful protest." She went on to say, "he calls for more violence than anybody else."
