Rough Day On Wall Street Ends With Modest Gains

According to Reuters, US stocks ended the first trading day of July on an uptick.
After suffering losses earlier in the morning, stocks were in recovery by the mid-afternoon.
And by the time trading on the New York Stock Exchange ended for the day, the top three indexes were reporting gains.
But the major markets all reported modest gains under 1-percent.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 35-points on the day, after being down over 100-points in the morning.
