Capital Gazette Publishes Day After Newsroom Shooting The Annapolis, Maryland publication fulfilled their promise to put out a newspaper just a day after alleged gunman Jarrod Ramos fatally shot five people. “Yes, we’re putting out a damn paper,” the Capital Gazette tweeted along with an image of the front page. On Friday’s edition of the paper, the opinion page was left blank and featured the names of those killed in the shooting. “Today, we are speechless.” The paper also promised that they "will return to its steady purpose of offering our readers informed opinion about the world around them, that they might be better citizens." Ramos is suspected of having a longstanding grudge against the newspaper. He has been charged with five counts of first-degree murder.
