A little over 24 hours after discussions were reported, the boston Celtics did indeed send the top pick in the 2017 NBA draft to division rival Philadelphia 76ers. In return, the Celtics received the Sixers #3 pick this season along with either the Los Angeles Lakers pick next year if it lands between 2 and 5. Otherwise, the Celtics will receive the Sacramento Kings 2019 pick unprotected. The Celtics are reportedly interested in either Jayson Tatum or Josh Jackson, both of which are forwards. The Celtics are hoping to have Jackson come in for a pre-draft workout.
