The Red Sox used some quality pitching and clutch hitting to take the first game of a brief two-game series with the Cardinals 6-3 on Tuesday night in St. Louis.  Dustin Pedroia's RBI single in the fifth gave the Sox a lead they would not surrender, earning Eduardo Rodriguez his second win of the year.
