Rasherford v Hog-ba: Devon farm holds adorable World Cup-themed pig race

Despite the tournament being held almost 2,000 kilometres away, this farm in Devon has thought of a way to bring the World Cup to the west country – pig racing.

Pennywell farm, in Buckfastleigh, organised the porcine race to determine the real winner of the tournament in Russia.

Adorable pigs represent some of the biggest teams in the competition, including England's own Marcus Rasherford, Paul Hogba for France, and Thiago Swillva for Brazil.

Owner Chris Murray writes: "We couldn’t resist hamming things up a bit and taking on a football theme for our miniature pig racing.

“The visitors love it and the pigs are happy as hogs in mud.

"So far Paul Hogba for France and England’s Marcus Rasherford have been the outstanding pigs.”

The race will take place every day at 2:30pm during the tournament.
