Korea's foreign ministry calls on UNESCO to cooperate with Pyongyang

The nation's top diplomat met with UNESCO director-general ( )Audrey Azoulay at the Jeju Forum to discuss ways to support Pyongyang.
Stressing the role of international community, Kang Kyung-hwa called on the global body to take part in exchanges with North Korea.
Azoulay expressed her wish to engage in the process toward peace and reconciliation on the Peninsula through sustainable cooperation in education and culture.
This comes after the minister announced Seoul will look for ways to cooperate with the regime within the range of imposed sanctions.
She added such UN-led measures should be retained until the international community is confident of North Korea's complete denuclearization.
