Boy in Taiwan Saved After Dangling From Balcony

A four-year-old boy, who was left alone by his parents at home, was rescued after a half-hour ordeal of dangling through the security grille of a fifth-floor balcony in Taiwan’s Pingtung City on Saturday, June 23.Home alone, the boy went to the balcony of his apartment, but his legs slipped through the gap between the metal bars, Taiwan News reported. He was prevented from plunging to his death because his head was caught between the bars.Neighbors saw the boy at around 11:15 am and called the police.This video shows a rescuer rappelling down to reach the boy from the floor above.A ladder truck was deployed to assist the rescue.According to a doctor, the child suffered only minor injuries to his head and ears.
