Mukhriz: We hope to resolve Kedah Speaker dispute by July 4

Kedah Menteri Besar Mukhriz Mahathir said that Pakatan Harapan had submitted the names of their candidates for the position of Speaker and Deputy Speaker for the Kedah state assembly to the Assembly secretariat's office on Sunday.
He said they were confident that the issue will be resolved soon and they would get more than 18 votes.
Mukhriz said that the speaker will be nominated by PKR while the deputy speaker from Bersatu.
Both the Harapan state government and opposition have 18 seats each, causing the speaker appointment to be at a stalemate.
