Twenty years on from its original release in 1994, ‘God Made Me Phunky’ still sounds fresh as ever. Produced by MD X-Press (aka Chicago House legend Mike Dunn), the layering of garage beats, an addictive baseline and Mike’s distinctive vocals make for a track that, with its self-proclaiming message, has stayed relevant two decades later. The re-release includes new exclusive remixes including one from Franky Rizardo and Marlon Hoffstadt, alongside some mixes from the archives from the likes of X-Press 2, Harry Romero and Groove Assassin.
