Defected present two brand new remixes for Sísý Ey’s uplifting house track ‘Do It Good’, one from long-term associate Riva Starr and the other from German turntablist Larse.
Sísý Ey are bringing something a bit different to the house music scene. The three sisters from Iceland have moved away from their acoustic music careers to make beautiful, upbeat vocal house tracks with help from DJ and producer Oculus. They have gained recognition for their great live set and have graced the stages of Iceland’s Airwaves festival and Sonar in Barcelona in recent years.
Riva Starr takes it deeper with his ‘Back to Detroit Mix’ of ‘Do It Good’. Kicking off with a pumping house beat, the remix balances out the vocal for more of a club feel. Defected favourite Riva Starr never fails to reinvent tracks and give them new energy, turning ‘Do It Good’ from a sumptuous house track into a club banger.
Larse’s version takes the track in an even more euphoric direction, letting the gorgeous vocals take centre stage. Since Larse’s huge remix of Candi Staton’s ‘Hallelujah Anyway’ for Defected in 2012 he has been commanding dancefloors around the world and has reached for the same soulful vibes with this one.
