That's been the received wisdom: find your passion, and it'll be smooth sailing.
According to LifeHacker, new Stanford University research says that's the wrong way to go about it.
Turns out, telling someone to “find their passion” has unvoiced implications.
Namely, if someone is passionate about something, it'll be a breeze to achieve.
But it also means that when facing some obstacle, giving up is more likely.
