It appears that some officials may not be in on the trend of sand sifting at sargassum seaweed dumpsites on island.
MTV News reported on Monday evening that sand dumped along with the seaweed at the Pearls and Mt Hartman sites were so significant that persons were collecting sand from these locations to sell for construction.
During today’s Post Cabinet Press Conference, Minister Nickolas Steele suggested the unlikelihood of this happening in the locations- one of which is in his constituency.
