900 Court Files were lost when Mendi National and District Court buildings were burnt last week.
Chief Justice Sir Salamo Injia said while that is unfortunate, they were able to digitize most of the documents and have copies in Port Moresby.
In an official media statement released today, the Judiciary says all the National case file records including physical files and court audio recordings were digitalized and secured between 2012 and 2018.
