White House Chief of Staff John Kelly and President Trump are reportedly “barely tolerating one another.”

White House Chief of Staff John Kelly and President Trump are said to be "barely tolerating one another."
Politico reported on Monday that Kelly, who was once seen as the person who would get a chaotic West Wing under control "has largely yielded his role as the enforcer…as his relationship with Trump has soured."
The media outlet also states that, according to four people familiar with the chief of staff, Kelly "has told at least one person close to him that he may as well let the president do what he wants, even if it leads to impeachment — at least this chapter of American history would come to a close."
That expression of exasperation is apparently not an isolated incident.
According to a June 10 New York Times report, Kelly "told visiting senators that the White House was 'a miserable place to work,' according to a person with direct knowledge of the comment."
The piece went on to say that based on inside sources, Kelly is "beaten down."
