Burst water pipes cause flooding on Osaka streets after earthquake
  • 6 tahun lalu
Roads in several parts of Osaka were flooded on June 18 following the 6.1 magnitude earthquake that struck the city that morning. This video, taken near the Osaka Prefectural Government Office in the financial district of Chuo, shows the road flooded with muddy water as cars and motorbikes sloshed through. An underground water pipe burst earlier during the earthquake, causing the flood. Three casualties were reported as of mid-day, including one nine-year-old girl who died when a wall collapsed on her at school. The government's Fire and Disaster Management Agency said at least 91 people were injured.
