DHS Secretary Nielsen Destroys Liberal Hysteria on Children at the Border

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen hit back on Sunday against “irresponsible and unproductive” misreporting by the media on the Trump administration’s border policies. “This misreporting by Members, press & advocacy groups must stop,” tweeted Nielsen. “It is irresponsible and unproductive. As I have said many times before, if you are seeking asylum for your family, there is no reason to break the law and illegally cross between ports of entry.”

“You are not breaking the law by seeking asylum at a port of entry,” she continued. “For those seeking asylum at ports of entry, we have continued the policy from previous Administrations and will only separate if the child is in danger, there is no custodial relationship between ‘family’ members, or if the adult has broken a law.”

DHS Secretary Nielsen Slams Media Over ‘Irresponsible’ Coverage of Trump Migrant Policies - Over the last several weeks, the mainstream media has been having a feeding frenzy on the Trump administration’s migrant policies, focusing specifically on the separation of families as a grounds for their incessant complaining.

This very issue is why TBS “comedian” Samantha Bee decided to lose her mind and launch vulgar insults at President Trump’s daughter Ivanka, just to give you a small window into the hysterics surrounding this situation.

Well, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen decided it was time to launch a counterstrike, coming out hard against the media’s coverage of Trump’s immigration policies, calling these outlets “irresponsible” and a whole lot more.
