India beat Afghanistan in the historical test match by inning and 262 runs. India won the toss and elected to bat first on the first day and riding on Shikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay’s century the hosted posted a total of 474 runs for the young Afghans. In their first inning the Afghans were all out for 109 runs and then Indian called them for follow on and in the second innings they were all out for 103 runs.

भारत के खिलाफ अपने टेस्ट मैच का सफर शुरू करने वाली अफगानिस्तान की टीम को करारी शिकस्त का सामना करना पड़ा, वहीं भारत की टीम ने इस मैच में जीत हासिल कर टेस्ट मैच में सबसे बड़ी जीत हासिल की है। 474 रनों के लक्ष्य का पीछा करने उतरी अफगानिस्तान की टीम शुरू से ही लड़खड़ाती नजर आई और कोई भी बल्लेबाज भारतीय गेंदबाजों के सामने नहीं टिक सका और पहली इनिंग में पूरी टीम 109 रन के स्कोर पर ही ढेर हो गई। जिसके बाद कप्तान रहाणे ने फॉलोआन का प्रस्ताव रखा और दूसरी पारी में अफ़ग़ानिस्तान की टीम 103 रन पर आउट दो गयी।
