Chennai high court has dismissed the tax evasion case against actress Trisha.
The Madras High Court on Thursday dismissed a tax case appeal preferred by the Principal Commissioner of Income Tax against actor Trisha Krishnan.
The case relates to the levy of penalty of Rs. 1.16 crore on her for having reportedly declared an income of Rs. 89.69 lakh for the financial year 2010-11 but subsequently filing a revised return in 2012 admitting the income for the year to have been Rs. 4.41 crore.The judges pointed out that Ms. Krishnan had disclosed the advance amount in the balance sheet filed along with the IT return for 2010-11 and hence the charge of concealment could not be accepted.

கடந்த 2010-2011ம் நிதி ஆண்டில் ரூ. 89 லட்சம் சம்பாதித்ததாக நடிகை த்ரிஷா வருமான வரித்துறைக்கு கணக்கு அளித்திருந்தார். அவர் அந்த ஆண்டு அவர் கூடுதலாக ரூ. 3. 52 கோடி சம்பாதித்தாகவும், பொய் கணக்கு காட்டியதாகவும் வருமான வரித்துறை தெரிவித்தது.
