Astronauts Embark on Spacewalk to Prepare Space Station for Future Missions

Two astronauts floated outside the International Space Station (ISS) on Thursday, June 14, to prepare for the first commercial crew vehicles to arrive to the station later this year, as reported by Space.com.NASA astronauts Ricky Arnold and Drew Feustel closed a door that was open on an external instrument and replaced a high-definition camera during their 6.5-hour walk. The cameras will provide views of the approach and docking of the SpaceX-crewed Dragon and Boeing Starliner spacecrafts that are planned to arrive later this year, according to reports.The outing began at 8:06 am when Arnold and Feustel switched their suits to battery power. Arnold wore a suit with red stripes, and Feustel wore an unmarked suit, according to the videos.The footage shows the two astronauts preparing for the spacewalk, heading to the worksite, and fixing the various instruments.
