Strong waves nearly sweeps monsoon tourists out to sea in India

This is the moment strong waves nearly sweep three men out to the sea in India.

The men, who were on a trip to enjoy the monsoon rains, and had ignored the safety precautions, survived the ordeal though with minor injuries.

The incident occurred at Malvan Rock Gardens in Maharashtra in the western region of India on June 10.

A video taken by an onlooker shows the three men sitting on the edge of the rocks facing the turbulent Arabian sea. While they enjoy soaking in the first few rough waves, a monster builds up and sweeps them aside.

Eyewitness Prabha Mhatre said: “The men fell backwards on the rocks and suffered a few scratches. If the waves had dragged them to the sea it would have been difficult to rescue them.”

The officials at the Rock Gardens cautioned the men to heed the safety warnings and let them go without pressing charges.
